I had booked Kooyk hotel through Booking.com and found it just by chance. It was reasonably priced. When I reached Amsterdam and reached the hotel, we realised that it was most ideally located. It was at the most happenning place, Leidspien(how you spell). The rooms were clean and nice. Nice breakfast and a nice friendly and chirpy owner who made our morning a pleasant with his smile and conversation. Would prefer to stay here again.

This hotel is the greatest experience of my life so far. The staff are amazing. Breakfast is amazing and everything is just amazing. Proper amazing. The stairs aren't even steep. They are well designed it was simple to carry luggage up and there was more than enough room in the toilet. The beds were so comfy and had so much variety on tv. Oliver the dog is so cool. If you like a good time you will like this hotel. The staff did not pinch my gear. It's just so amazing the view was phenomenal 10/10 overall. I recommend it to anyone

The Hotel is located very, very close to the Leidseplein square and it is really close to the main attractions in Amsterdam. (walking distance). Staff is kind and helpful, i personally enjoyed chatting with the manager and the owner of the hotel, who was helping us with the directions as well as the bus and tram lines and timings.

To conclude, the hotel is VERY GOOD taking in consideration that is not expensive at all. If I ever get back to Amsterdam again I already know where I'll be staying! No regrets at all!

I recently stayed with two friends for two nights.(09/07 - 11/07). We hadn't booked in advance so were worried we wouldn't have anywhere to stay but Mr Moonen was so welcoming and friendly! The room was spotless and comfy and I would never have guessed it was 1 star! It's more like 3! The family were more than happy to help and gave us lots of information about sights to see and things to do. Would definitely stay again without a doubt!

Had a great stay at kooyks. Staff really nice, friendly & helpful.
Breakfast a buffet so u can hav as much as u want so sets u up 4 the day. Really easy 2 get 2 by bus for 4 euros (so dont waste 35 euros on a taxi) trust me if me & my friend done it any1 can. Would defo go bac & stay again.
